Abstract:
Οι μαζικές μετακινήσεις πληθυσμών τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες έχουν επιφέρει ριζικές δημογραφικές αλλαγές. Τα εκπαιδευτικά συστήματα των χωρών υποδοχής του μεταναστευτικού κύματος καλούνται να αναπροσαρμόσουν και να προετοιμάσουν τους μαθητές ως αυριανούς πολίτες μιας πολυπολιτισμικής κοινωνίας. Μέσα σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, η μέθοδος CLIL προτείνεται ως μία εκπαιδευτική προσέγγιση με στόχο να ενθαρρύνει την πολυγλωσσία και την πολυπολιτισμικότητα στην Ευρώπη (Järvinen, 2007). Επιπλέον, η ραγδαία ανάπτυξη και εισαγωγή των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφοριών και Επικοινωνίας (ΤΠΕ) σε κάθε τομέα της σύγχρονης ζωής, καθιστά αναγκαία και την εισαγωγή τους στην εκπαίδευση. Κατ’ αυτόν τον τρόπο, οι ΤΠΕ έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί σε διάφορες μεθοδολογίες διδασκαλίας. Η μέθοδος CLIL, αποτελεί, ακριβώς, μία επιτυχημένη προσέγγιση διδασκαλίας ενός σχολικού μαθήματος μέσω της ξένης γλώσσας όπου η ξένη γλώσσα και το σχολικό μάθημα (περιεχόμενο) έχουν ίση αξία (Coyle, Hood & Marsh, 2010). The educational systems in the host countries of the migration flow need to be readjusted and to prepare their students to become citizens of tomorrow in a multicultural society. In this context, CLIL is recommended as an educational approach with the purpose of encouraging multilingualism and multiculturalism in Europe (Järvinen, 2007). Furthermore, the rapid development and introduction of ICT in every aspect of modern life makes their implementation in education essential as well. ICT have already been used in this way in different methodologies of teaching. CLIL is, in essence, a successful teaching approach of a school subject in a foreign language, where the foreign language and the school subject (content) are of equal value (Coyle, Hood & Marsh, 2010).
